Situated in a residential area of Colliers Wood, along the River Wandle, Trellis House has 42 flats for rent, conveniently located near to local shops, restaurants, and the popular Merton Abbey Mills craft market.

Each flat is connected to an alarm call system which links directly to a dedicated care team who are on hand 24 hours a day.

The scheme has communal lounges on each floor, which have either a TV or music centre, as well as a library which has a wide range of books, tapes and DVDs. There is also a games room, featuring a pool table, table tennis, and various wooden games.

Each flat has its own front door and entrance hall, a spacious bedroom suitable for either a single or a double bed, a tastefully decorated lounge, a fully fitted kitchen, and a large bathroom with either a bath or a wet room style shower. Apartments are let unfurnished, leaving residents free to furnish their home as they choose.

A number of the ground floor flats have direct access to the scheme’s attractive enclosed garden, which is suitable for wheelchair users, and many of the first floor flats boast views over the garden and river.

We offer a broad range of facilities to choose from including:

All apartments are fitted with emergency pull cord alarms, and all tenants are given pendant alarms, which when activated immediately alerts the 24-hour support team that you need assistance.

Trellis House has excellent transport links, with a bus stop on its doorstep with regular services to Wimbledon and central London. Colliers Wood Tube Station is a six-minute walk away, and the scheme also has its own car park.

How to apply and eligibility

To rent an apartment at Trellis House you must:

  • Be aged 60 or over
  • Have a care or support need

 

 

 

Please note: Merton Council will only accept tenants for this scheme if they currently live in the borough of Merton. Anyone wishing to rent privately should contact Trellis House for more information.

Trellis House may not be suitable if you have been assessed as requiring a substantial amount of regular nursing care which cannot be delivered in your own home.

Care and support

Having as much independence as you want and the reassurance that if your needs change you will be fully supported means that you can focus on living your life to the full.

Sanctuary staff are highly trained and experienced, and they are on-site to provide housing management and support. Personal and domestic care is provided by Sevacare who can offer the following services as required: shopping, laundry, housework, personal care and prescription collection.
