Alzheimer’s Fundraising success at Doddington Court
Maureen, Pam and Marilyn, all residents at Sanctuary Retirement Living’s Doddington Court, donned their walking boots to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society – despite the chilly October weather.
The fundraising three-some set a target of walking 31 laps around the retirement community’s garden over 31 days and they raised a remarkable £505 between them.
Wellbeing and Inclusion Assistant, Rachael Lewarne said: “The residents hand- picked the Alzheimer’s Society as a charity they wanted to raise money for. The whole community here at Doddington Court feels very passionate about raising awareness and funds for this amazing charity and the money they’ve raised will make a huge difference to the people the charity supports.”
