Services mark Remembrance Sunday

4 November 2019

Sanctuary Retirement Living services across the country are inviting residents and the local community to mark Remembrance Sunday.

On Sunday 10 November, many of Sanctuary Retirement Living’s services will be holding remembrance events for residents, guests and visitors, to mark Armistice Day. As part of the day, many services have created displays or art using the poppy - a symbol of both Remembrance and hope for a peaceful future - and will exchange personal or family stories and memories of those who gave their lives to serve their country.

The Taste restaurants will also be serving special menus, freshly produced by the in-house catering teams. Prices start from around £5 for one course, £6.70 for two courses or £8 for three. Residents and visitors can choose from a range of classic British dishes including roast beef with Yorkshire pudding or Woolton vegetable pie, accompanied by crispy roast potatoes and a selection of seasonal vegetables. The desserts on offer include bread and butter pudding, and lemon meringue pie.
