New Autumn/Winter and festive menus for Taste restaurants

16 October 2019

All Taste restaurants within Sanctuary Retirement Living services are now offering new Autumn/Winter and festive menus.

New festive menus at Sanctuary Retirement Living

Many Taste restaurants are open to the public as well as residents and their guests. The warming dishes on offer include Lancashire hot pot, stilton and potato pie, and ginger and treacle sponge with custard. Booking is advised for large groups. Prices start at around £4.50 for a main course and £6.50 for a main and dessert. For more information and sample menus, see our Taste restaurant page.

One, two and three-course special festive menus for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day are now available to view and book at our Taste restaurants.

On Christmas Day, diners can enjoy classic dishes including roast turkey and stuffing, or honey and mustard roasted gammon, served with all the trimmings, followed by Christmas pudding or festive trifle. Boxing Day’s delights include a selection of cold meats with pickles, stuffing and pigs in blankets, with a variety of desserts including chocolate and orange cheesecake and coffee gateaux. Visitors on New Year’s Day can choose from dishes such as roasted leg of lamb and spiced cauliflower en-croute, followed by profiteroles or a fresh winterberry Eton mess. All festive special meals are followed by tea or coffee with mints and mince pies.

All meals are freshly prepared by our onsite catering teams, making a booking for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day essential. All food must be ordered and paid for in advance. The exact menus may vary slightly at each Taste restaurant, so please see the menus on display at your nearest service before booking. Final orders must be received by Friday 6 December.

For more information about the Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day menus, as well as opening times and pricing, or to make a booking, please contact your nearest service or speak to a member of staff.

Many services will also be holding Christmas Fayres during November and December. There will be stalls selling handmade items, cards, gifts and food, to ensure residents, their guests and visitors are feeling full of festive spirit in the run-up to Christmas. For more information about Christmas Fayres and other upcoming events at a service near you, see our News and Events page, or follow us on Facebook.
