Roland Hutchinson
Roland Hutchinson, or ‘Roly’ as he likes to be known, celebrated his 100th birthday in early 2019 and lives at Sanctuary Retirement Living’s Exning Court in Suffolk.
He is one of the service’s most popular residents, using the restaurant most days and getting involved in all of the activities.

Born in Northumberland, Roly spent his early life with his eight siblings. In World War Two he served as a Lance Corporal and Sergeant in The Royal Engineers.
Roly was married to Andrewina for 63 years and he is very close to his two grandchildren Craig and Samantha.
He said: “Living here at Exning Court means that I have my own space for being able to spend time with my family, which I love, as well as the support to be as independent as possible.”
