She has retained her independence, turning to Sanctuary Retirement Living’s onsite care team for support and personal care when she needs it. She has been busy making new friends and with a host of social events to choose from in the residents’ lounge and it’s been eyes down for Helen with her favourite regular game of bingo.

Helen came to live at Wimborne House in the early part of 2020. She had previously been renting a one-bedroom flat in Tunbridge Wells and was referred to the Sanctuary Retirement Living service by her social worker, to support her wellbeing. She now has lovely flat which she’s really proud of, and she has quickly settled in, despite the challenges faced by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Helen said: “I like living at Wimborne House and have enjoyed making new friends here”.
