Care and Support Assistant – Part Time

Jazz Court, Scarborough

£8.42 to £8.68 per hour (dependent on qualifications)

30 hours per week – including alternate weekends

We are seeking a Care and Support Assistant to join our team at Jazz Court. At this Retirement Living service, we provide purpose-built homes for rent or shared ownership, and ensure peace of mind through a range of facilities including an on-site care and support team. We are seeking applications from enthusiastic, proactive and friendly individuals with strong interpersonal skills.

The role of Care and Support Assistant will include:

  • Delivering a high level of care and support for our residents
  • Assisting and encouraging residents to access and maintain a level of integration into the wider community e.g with shopping
  • Enabling residents to maximise their own potential and level of independence
  • Administering medication to residents
  • Assisting residents with washing, dressing and general personal care and hygiene

Skills and Experiences:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
  • Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong “can-do” attitude
  • Strong organisational skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to react quickly to changing priorities whilst working to deadlines and targets
  • NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards is desirable
