Night Care and Support Assistant – Part Time

Poplar House, Basildon

£8.66 to £9.11 per hour (dependent on qualifications)

20 hours per week

We are seeking a Care and Support Assistant to make a real difference to the lives of our residents. Set in a quiet, residential area of Basildon, Poplar House is a purpose-built development providing high-quality homes with a range of on-site services and facilities. The role of Care and Support Assistant will include:

  • Delivering a high level of care and support for our residents
  • Assisting and encouraging residents to access and maintain a level of integration into the wider community
  • Providing care and support to residents, enabling them to maximise their own potential and independence
  • Working with other staff members to ensure a clean and comfortable environment

Skills and experiences:

  • Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent), or willing to work towards
  • Ideally have experience of working in a similar care related role
  • Enthusiastic and person-centred with a strong “can-do” attitude
  • Strong organisational skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy
  • Good communication skills with an approachable nature
