Team Leader

£10.46 per hour – subject to a terms and conditions review due to be implemented July 2019

37.5 hours per week

We are seeking a Team Leader to make a real difference to the lives of our residents. Goodwin Court offers both housing and care, suitable for many individuals with care needs while offering comfortable environments and helping with the pursuit of independent living. The role of Team Leader will include:

  • Supervising and supporting a team of Care and Support Workers, including completing and managing the staff rota
  • Assessing the needs of our clients and working closely with tenants and their families to ensure those needs are met
  • Managing and monitoring plans to ensure a high standard of care and support is offered
  • Managing the development of staff and identifying training needs to ensure skilled staff are available to meet business needs
  • Identifying and reporting hazards and faults, completing care and support plans, reviewing them in a timely manner, risk assessments and ensuring equipment is kept in working order
  • Ordering monthly medication
  • Carrying out medication audits, as well as other relevant audits
  • Liasing with external agencies such as social workers, district nurses, GPs to ensure client needs are met

Skills and experiences:

  • Proven experience in a care and support environment is essential
  • Previous experience in a staff supervision role is desirable, including managing staff rotas
  • Good interpersonal and customer care skills
  • Experience with working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
  • Experience of working with a rostering system such as Coldharbour
