30 hours per week

We are seeking a Care and Support Worker to join our friendly team at Goodwin Court. Goodwin Court provides support to a diverse group of clientele, including clients with learning and physical disabilities. The role of Care and Support Worker will include:

  • Providing a high quality person-centred service that meets the needs of individual clients
  • Providing hands-on personal care to clients to maintain a clean and comfortable environment, including washing and dressing
  • Assisting with meal preparation and supporting clients with eating and drinking when needed
  • Administering medication to clients
  • Supporting clients with domestic tasks, such as vacuuming, laundry and shopping
  • Engaging with clients and supporting them to attend activities
  • Completing and filing paperwork detailing daily tasks carried out
  • Responding to emergencies

Skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience in a care role is desirable but not essential, as full training is provided
  • A genuine caring nature and an interest in caring for older people
  • Skills in providing specialised care such as dementia care would be advantageous
  • Experience administering medication is desirable but not essential
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable
  • Good understanding of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel or simillar
