£10.39 per hour (rising to £10.94 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

We are looking for a friendly and reliable person to join our team as a Bank Care and Support Team Leader, who will be responsible for supervising our experienced team of Care and Support Assistants. Set opposite the picturesque Oakhill Park in East Barnet, Goodwin Court provides apartments and communal facilities for over 55s. We help our residents to enjoy a happy and healthy retirement, offering comfort and peace of mind.

The role of Bank Care and Support Team Leader will include:

  • Supervising and supporting a team of Care and Support Assistants, including completing and managing the staff rota
  • Assessing the needs of our residents and working closely with residents and their families to ensure those needs are met
  • Managing and monitoring plans to ensure a high standard of care and support is offered
  • Managing the development of staff and identifying training needs to ensure skilled staff are available to meet business needs
  • Identifying and reporting hazards and faults, completing care and support plans, reviewing them in a timely manner, risk assessments and ensuring equipment is kept in working order
  • Ordering monthly medication
  • Carrying out medication audits, as well as other relevant audits
  • Liasing with external agencies such as social workers, district nurses and GPs to ensure residents needs are met

Skills and experiences:

  • Proven experience in a care and support environment is essential
  • Previous experience in a staff supervision role is desirable, including managing staff rotas
  • Good interpersonal and customer care skills
  • Experience with working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
  • Experience of working with a rostering system such as Coldharbour
