Spread over three floors, there is a lift to all floors and wheelchair access throughout. Each apartment has its own lounge/diner, kitchen and bathroom with level access shower. All apartments are let unfurnished, leaving you free to furnish your home as you choose.

Elizabeth House has a friendly community atmosphere and there are many opportunities to participate in social activities, including bingo, crafts, quiz nights and coffee mornings. There are two spacious communal lounges, each with a kitchenette, offering residents space to socialise with others or relax in peace and quiet. Meals are provided in the on-site restaurant, seven days a week, at an extra cost.

Applicants must:

 * Be aged 55 or over

 * Reside in, or have family connection to, the local area

 * Meet the extra care criteria for the local authority Somerset County Council

 * Be referred directly from the local authority, following an assessment of your care and support needs

Elizabeth House may not be suitable if you have been assessed as requiring a substantial amount of regular nursing care which cannot be delivered in your own home.

Care and support

At Elizabeth House, you can live as independently as possible and focus on living your life to full, with the peace of mind that support is available if your needs change. All residents have care plans tailored to their individual needs, which are regularly reviewed and updated as required.

Personal and domestic care is provided by Way Ahead Care who can help you in your home. Sanctuary staff are on-site and provide housing management and support.

For extra reassurance, all apartments have an emergency pull cord system that, when activated, immediately alerts the 24-hour support team that you need assistance. Pendant alarms are available if required.
