Resident story: Alan Hills

3 January 2019

Alan Hills chose to live at Sanctuary Retirement Living’s Wimborne House in Gravesend after receiving recommendations from neighbours.

He said: “My friends told me how much they enjoyed living here at Wimborne House, so I decided to apply for a place. I was really pleased to be accepted and moved in soon after.”

Like the other residents, Alan has his own apartment and receives a care package based on his own personal needs.

The service’s community-feel really appeals to Alan. He commented: “All of the residents are really close and we enjoy getting together for a chat and a drink. We have quite a few laughs.”

There are a range of activities at Wimborne House for Alan and the other residents to get involved with, including exercise classes, quizzes and different themed clubs.

Alan also enjoys spending time in the beautiful landscaped garden and likes to get out and about on his mobility scooter.
